Thornland

The Thornland is based on a true story.  It's the story about a girl who flees unexpectedly from her mother's care to live at her father's house. Something, however, holds her back to be open about her past.  Because of all the lies, she told before, it is difficult for her father, to discover the truth behind her escape. Many disturbing characteristics hint that awful things happened to her. After being diagnosed as an allegedly hypochondriac, she is pushed to do psychotherapy. There she meets five teenagers, who couldn't be more different. Each of them seems to have problems beyond repair but they all managed to survive so far and are now living normal lives. After a while, the girl is finally ready to reveal everything - even if the thorns could stitch her to death. She takes the chance into believing that the Thornland could maybe bloom into something beautiful. With all the culprits and victims exposed and the secrets revealed, she finally realizes that the truth hurts no matter what, but it's easier to breathe when there are people who believe in you.

This story is written as a series. The pilot shows the arrival from the main character at her father's house and a couple of the disturbing aspects who resolves later into the joining of the psychotherapy.
